The word de-evolution is used to define a concept according to which humanity is regressing instead of advancing. The American band Devo was born, in 1972, espousing this philosophy to become a pivotal group in the evolution of contemporary rock music. Slam Jam pays homage to Devo’s visionary art with a capsule collection inspired by Casale & Mothersbaugh’s interpretation of the reverse evolution theory.
